It’s ya girl Kmonaefierce coming to you live all the way from New Jersey and it’s the first day of fall! Not up for debate but fall is indeed for the girls– and the fellas, but mostly for the girls! I really believe when God made fall, He had us in mind because, pumpkin spice latte, apple orchard, pumpkin patch, duh! The weather changes to a crisp breeze, not too hot, not too cold. Now it’s time to pull out the neutral tones, cozy sweaters and get ready for the best fall festivity lineup in NJ! 

Activities & Things to Do

Rewax & Unwine (Candle Making) — create and hand pour two unique scented candles | Thursdays – Saturdays | $60 per person 

Wards Farm — BYOB Date Night, picnic & build your own bouquet | Saturdays, 4-7pm | $19 per person 

The Ciderhouse at Ironbound Farm (Cider Tasting) —  | Thursday through Sunday | 

Hudson Table (Cooking Class) — variety of fall inspired dishes & pastries to choose from throughout September & October | pricing ranges

Echo Lakes Stables (Horseback Riding) — known for its beautiful and scenic trails, stunning horses, friendly trail guides, clean facilities | $70/hr cash only

Great Pumpkin Festival at Heaven Hill Farm (Vernon, NJ) — over 35 family-friendly outdoor activities; carnival rides, pony rides, etc. runs from September 13 through November 2, 2025

Argos Farm Fall Festival (Forked River, NJ) — features a corn maze, pumpkin patch, live music, and fall photo ops | runs from September 13 through November 2, 2025

Happy Day Farm Fall Festival — pumpkin picking, corn maze, tractor rides, sunflowers, etc. | runs from September 13th through November 2nd 2025 | 10am – 5pm ($22-$28)

Riamede Farm – Apple & Pumpkin Days — you-pick apples, pumpkins, scenic hay rides, etc. | runs from September 20 through October 26 2025 | Wednesday through Monday | 9am-5:30pm | Free – 12.50 

Newark Arts Festival — Newark becomes a citywide celebration of music, art, and radical joy | October 8th-12th | FREE 

Western Fall Festival —  5th annual Fall Festival, western themed at Military Park | October 25th | 12pm – 4pm

Jersey City Harvest Festival — pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts & music combined with Annual Cultural Diversity Festival | October 4th | 10am – 2pm | Hamilton Park

Universal Soul Circus — celebrating 30 years of fun under The Big Top | October 2nd-19th $36.25 – $62.90

Outdoors + Trails 

Brick City Run Club — Mid-week, Saturday, and Sunday morning runs in the heart of downtown Newark

Hemlock Falls Trail — The stretch of trail along the ridge is beautiful. It’s a great hike to a small waterfall

Frelinghuysen Arboretum (Morris Township) — great for walks among foliage, trees, gardens

Mills Reservation (Essex County, Montclair/Cedar Grove area) — wooded trails, overlooks

Rampoo Lake Spur — climbs to Ramapo Lake where it joins a paved park road

Lake Topanemus — 2 beautiful trails that lead you to Lake Topanemus
