48 Hours In Downtown Chicago

48 Hours in Downtown Chicago

48 Hour Stay in Downtown Chicago

Traveling for a seven day vacation isn’t always in the books, yet 48 hours in Downtown Chicago is a lot more feasible. After being on lockdown all of 2020, I realized how much I neglected my travel life, and how I don’t need a whole week to travel. Since 2021, I’ve taken a handful of weekend trips and needless to say, I’m just getting started. Most recently on the list was Chicago, and I will say, it was a time. The views, food, photo ops, and did I say the food? As you scroll you will see all that you can get into in downtown Chicago, Trust, I’m about to put you on where to go, eat & drink when you’re in the downtown Chi area.

Bureau Bar

Black-owned restaurant located in South Loop with a lounge atmosphere. Bureau Bar has an unlimited brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm for $60- don’t forget to make reservations before you go!

Azul Mariscos

A mixture of menu options, it was so hard to make a choice but the Margarita Towers were my call-to-action for going to this place.. just an FYI, if you want to sit on the rooftop you can’t order the marg towers *sad face*

Chemistry Chicago

A definite vibe, and very insta worthy for all my content creators who are here to capture the full experience. When you visit Chemistry, make sure you try the Pink Tink drink- it comes highly recommended.

Giordonos

Okay, you have to try a deep dish pizza when you got to Chicago, period! There’s really nothing left to say about this one, pick your toppings , bring a friend (unless you can finish it solo) and enjoy your deep dish pizza.

Sushi+

Cabra

Who doesn’t love a rooftop with a view? Yeah, I figured we’d all be on the same page about that one. Cabra has a modern city aesthetic with a to live for menu, perfect for meeting up with friends after work, or a cute date night with boo!

London House

The key to a great night = rooftop, good food, cute drinks, and no commute back to your hotel. The London house is that for you, a classy chic hotel with all the amenities above, and then some!

Museum of Ice Cream

If you’re here for photos, tasty drinks, sweet treats or you just want to try something different with the family besides going out for dinner, Museum of Ice Cream is definitely for you!

Want to Stay in The Chi Longer?

Let’s be honest, there is so much to do in Downtown Chicago in 48 hours. I will definitely be back to visit and check out other places and things to do. If your stay is a bit longer make sure to add Starbucks Reserve RoasteryThe Bean, Art Institute of Chicago, Art on the Mart & Lincoln Park Zoo to your list.
