Kmonaefierce Farewell to Valentine’s Day
What Happened to Valentine’s Day? Did the girls say farewell to “love day” for good? I think so, and I’m honestly not mad at it. Maybe it was a great idea at the time, but a baby shooting an arrow to make somebody fall in love with you is crazy. If I was in the boardroom that day, I would’ve definitely voted “NO”. The reason why is because it strongly has the ability to convey a message of loneliness. Although the day promotes “love”, the girls have chosen something more intentional. Galentine’s Day it is.
We Changed the Rules
We changed the rules & I love that for us. First of all, y’all made February 14th seem like this is the day! The day that your romantic partner is supposed to show you how much they love you with gifts, attention, etc. How unfortunate is that? If you’re in a romantic relationship and this is the only day you see love & affection– abort the mission. Now, for those of you who are in healthy balanced relationships, and still choose to make this day just as special as all the others, that comment does not apply to you. Galentine’s Day is for the girls, we just want to have fun. We want to celebrate with each other in an intentional way with no pressure to belong to anyone but the Lord.
Kmonae & Kompany Galentine’s Day: Cheriched & Chosen
Shamelessly, I must share my annual Galentines Day event, Cherished & Chosen. This year it’s all about reminding the girls how Cherished & Chosen they are. Outside of relationships, work, and what they can do for others I’ve created a space to celebrate them for simply being. That’s it & that’s all. Here, you will be greeted with love, a warm drink, and soft networking. The activities include: scrapbooking with Ziya, love letters with Aya Paper Co., bracelet making & an anonymous Q&A session.
