The season is changing but we (are) still outside, and we (are) still eating. When the weather changes the first thing that comes to mind is seasonal dishes and drinks that I get to indulge in– and I know I’m not the only one! That being said, I’ve put together this guide for all my foodies in or traveling to the Newark area.

The authentic African fine dining experience you didn’t know you needed in your life. Honestly, the food and drinks are hands down amazing, on top of that, the staff just make you feel so welcome.. don’t just take my word for it, try it for yourself!

This is a very cool after work dinner/date spot and the story behind it makes it even better! With an award winning chef behind the menu, local partners and an amazing staff, it was sure to make the list!

Very popular Portuguese/Spanish restaurant located in the heart of ironbound. Living up to its name Adega, meaning “wine cellar” in Portuguese is perfect for date night or ladies night.

This family-owned restaurant has a warm and welcoming ambiance complementing their full menu of bar food. Burkes Tavern is perfect for any occasion, solo dates, meet up with friends, or something a little more intimate.

A taste of Brazil in Newark that will have you never wanting to leave. Everything from the ambiance, live music, specialty drinks, and of course the food.. Delicias de Minas is definitely going to be one of your favs.
