Kmonaefierce BrownMill 2 Year Anniversary
Newark New Jersey is the home of many things and one of them just happens to be BrownMill Company Headquarters. BrownMill is a clothing brand founded by Taha Shimou, Kwaku Agyemang, and Justis Pitt-Goodson. The brand is the perfect mix between streetwear and prep, with a touch of their signature patchwork skills. What makes this clothing & lifestyle brand a staple within and outside of their community is their ability to create welcoming spaces for everyone they encounter. Crafting garments is one thing, but crafting spaces for a diverse group of people is a different ball game. Though the brand has been established for some years, this anniversary marks the opening of their storefront. It’s only been two years, and each year it gets bigger #thinkbigger!
The Block Party
Presented by Newark Alliance and in collaboration with Halsey Fest, BrownMill executed yet another successful celebration for themselves, the community and the culture. Hundreds and thousands traveled from far and near to be a part of this special moment in history. You can see the endless support and community through photos & videos but your best bet would’ve been to just be there.
The joint block party festival had live performances flooding the stage, including sets by some of New Jersey’s finest DJ’s. Not to mention, event host, Tubbs Krueger kept the energy of the crowd going non-stop. Adding to the experience were local food and beverage vendors, designers, photographers, journalists, and more. It’s safe to say the bar for next year is set, I can only imagine what the team will put together for 2024.

BrownMill Collaborations
Certainly BrownMill is a movement by itself, but in the words of Neyo, they’re a force when they collaborate (or whatever he said). Collaborations speak volumes because it says you’re willing to share your impact and resources with other organizations and brands. These collabs are monumental and comparable to time pieces, so when they drop, just get it!
