Bonita Amplifies x L’Oreal Celebrates Black History Month

Bonita Amplifies x L’Oreal Celebrates Black Creators

I’m still not over it– Bonita Amplifies x L’Oreal Celebrates Black Creators! With such a fruitful start to the year I haven’t had time to give a proper thank you to the Bonita & L’Oreal team. So, with that being said, THANK YOU! The Bonita Project is always doing the work to ensure that creators like myself are seen and celebrated. A big one was done– from the restaurant, invitees, all the way to the name card details made the night worth traveling from Brick City all the way to Brooklyn. It’s ya girl Kmonaefierce coming to you live all the way from New Jerrrrrrrrrrrsey, and I had a time at the Bonita Amplifies x L’Oreal Black History Month Dinner.

Black History Month Creators Dinner at Aliya

The Black History Month Creators dinner was held at an intimate black woman owned restaurant, Aliya. I want to paint this picture for you– let’s start with the entrance, it gave Tulum, Mexico. Then I spotted the tall resort gates/doors, the wooden accents and neutral colored decor. I was sold before I even went upstairs. Next, I head over to check in, and that’s where the ambiance started to fully unfold. I appreciated the darker neutral colors to highlight the lighter tones, and animal print to just bring it all together. On the elevator up I met some other influencers and we all agreed that the interior so far was a ten! Stepping into the actual space was like a movie. Very romantic. Very much date night. Very much endless photo ops. Bonita x L’Oreal definitely did they big one.

Celebrating Black Creators Family Style

Let’s get into the food and how we celebrated Black Creators Family Style. The menu consisted of kale salad, jerk lamb chops, tamarind wings, lamb shank pot pie, pan seared salmon, fried rice & assorted dessert. When I tell you, nobody at the table had any complaints. I mean, we absolutely enjoyed the menu in its entirety. Not to mention the drinks, the actual glassware. Aliya Cocktail Den can drop the mic right there.

Celebrate Black Creators All Year

Celebrating Black Creators shouldn’t just be for a month, it should be all year. The creators that I met were all so genuine and passionate about their niches. They work hard. After networking and catching up with a few familiar faces, I felt so inspired. As you know being in such a front facing, and competitive space, being a creator can be a lot. So the celebration being in order was just what I needed to fill my creative cup. No requirement to do, or be anything but myself. Get to know me and a few of the other creators I was able to connect with:
