Galentines Day: Cherished & Chosen 2025
Galentines Day: Cherished & Chosen was designed for the gworls that get it. We needed something for us to come together and rewrite the rules for the season we call “love”– you can read about those rules here. With great intention, the space was crafted with multi-layers, multi-generations and multi-purposes in mind. In just three hours we targeted soft networking, crafting, building community, healing, faith, and sisterhood. So far, the only critique for this function was for it to “last longer”, and “when is the next one”. In due time, these quality layered events will be a staple in communities all over the world. For now, let’s celebrate you for being a part of year 3!

A Special Thank you
I would like to give a special thank you to everyone who made Galentines Day: Cherished & Chosen come together so seamlessly. The evening was full of warm smiles, laughter, crafts, connections, good food, and so much more. Everything from the venue, the vendors, to the activities, down to my special guests was just right. At the end of the night, I was pleased to know that something good happened and it was because of all of you! If you missed it, or couldn’t make it, make sure you are at the next one. Until then, enjoy this blog recap.
The Venue
We were hosted by a local Haitian owned cafe, Caribbrew Cafe in Newark NJ. The cafe is fairly new, and we were happy to activate the space. It’s vibrant, and airy aesthetic meshed well with the event theme and decor.
Crafts & Activities
Facilitating a women’s social event with the intention for guests to leave full is key. The reason being is because time is precious, and we want to honor that. The crafts and activities element allowed us to depart from negativity, give back to our inner child, connect with like minded individuals, bring awareness to small growing businesses, talk about our faith, and so much more. Here’s the list of our craft & activity agenda from the evening:

- Leave Something at the Door
- Soft Networking
- Scrapbooking led by Ziya
- Bracelet Making
- Love Letter to Yourself by Aya Paper Co.
- Anonymous Q&A Session led by Ka’bre Monae
Our Gift Bag Sponsors
By The end of the night we poured, shared, made scrapbooks, bracelets, laughed, almost cried, and enjoyed amazing food. The only thing left is to send off everyone with a token of love and appreciation. Thank you again to our gift bag sponsors for being a part of this annual experience. Each brand is intentionally based out of New Jersey so please follow, share, like, and support them:
